Trafalgar Theatre

Backstory:

I came to know the Trafalgar players from an announcement somewhere. Most probably GBC or the Chronicle. Since, those were our ‘Social media’ in the olden days. LOL! I met and became friends with Margaret Seed. She welcomed me to the group and I spent a few years working in many ways for the theatre company. Lots of sound work, some lightning and a set design for ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Eventually directing some major productions. As well as acting in pantos and other shows.

Christmas in Gibraltar 1945

This was an event which was held yearly at the Garrison library with the ‘King’s chapel singers’. I put together for Trafalgar a series of sketches which were taken from old time radio shows of the period. Pretending to be broadcast directly from here called ‘Christmas in Gibraltar 1945’.

Shirley Valentine

Besides stage managing this show, I did spend a lot of time helping coach Isabella Valenzuela for the role. A very talented actress I was to spend many years working with in local theatre.

Love, loss and what I wore.
