Andrew Dark/Rodriguez was born in 1957 in London, the son of Gibraltarian parents who emigrated there following the diaspora of WW2. Andrew is a professional Actor/Director who was classically trained at the Cockpit Theatre, London. At the age of 25, he moved to live and work in New York, USA, where he made his home for a further quarter of a century. He has produced, created and performed internationally. Forming his own theatre company, The Nasty Attic Players and being the Artistic Director of the Black Cat Theatre. In addition to his training in theatre, Andrew also writes for the stage, radio and audio works. Driven by his social conscience, he has lent his talents to support, raise funds and awareness for numerous worthy causes and organizations. For these efforts, he has received awards for his services to the Arts. Andrew returned to Gibraltar in 2008 and began with Jackie Villa The White Light Theatre. A theatrical company which produces drama, that serves the community through entertainment and education. Using local directors, actors, writers and technicians, White Light promotes and teaches both adults and youth in the dramatic arts. The artistic drive of the Company is to produce in order to give back, so the plays always have a fund-raising element.
