The Nasty Attic Player’s infamous 13th season continues with an evening full of thrills and chills as our finest actors produce exciting shows from the golden days of Radio. Come escape the gloom and doom of everyday life and hear the Shadow’s laugh and the Were-cat’s call. All for a very special fund raising performance. Playing at Main Street Arts’ theater 94 Main St. Nyack.
As a fundraiser for the ‘Playhouse on Main’, we performed a radio show. This was the second time we had done something from the old time radio show the Shadow. ‘The Temple bells of Neban’ originally played by Orson Welles and Agnes Moorehead October 24th, 1937. In this episode, a mysterious beautiful woman knows who The Shadow really is and seems to be as powerful as he is. For our second half we performed a ‘Lights Out’ script written by Old time radio legend Arch Oboler. A supernatural tale where a man’s wife acts like a no good cat...literally! The original story had Boris Karloff in the lead role. Unfortunately, we have no recordings of our performances. Instead, I have given you the originals to listen to.
